Bird Activity-Bay and surf waters have both offered productive fishing beneath working birds. I was very amused during several charters this week after seeing my plugs get crushed by trout when I would launch it beneath the lead bird.

If shrimp aren't getting tossed a foot above the water, trout were jumping entirely out of the water and doing belly flops while chasing shrimp.

Cancel the birds out if boat traffic is abundant...birds in a group this big are guarunteed to get spotted and fished on crowded days...if you are fishing beneath them and boat traffic is bad, expect to be greeted by another vessel.
