Smells like Watermelon-Brown Lure Crew

The bunch is always a fun group. Jake and Jason are a hoot to fish with. When I'm zoned in and really trying to catch fish, I can always count on Jake to try and break the concentration by cracking me up....and it works everytime!

Pictured above is Jake and Jason Brown of Brown Lures. The guys whacked trout on topwater for about two hours...wading with articials in East has been shutting down quick.

Notice the slick we are wading around as it popped in front of us; specks were weaving between the shell pads and deep water while pursuing large amounts of shrimp. We stood on mud tossing bone topwater plugs and plum/chart devil eyes to fleeing baitfish. Plenty between 13-14 inches but a handful of keepers hit the box before the bite quit.

The guys really got a kick out of wading to the hovering gulls...the specks were feasting and jump-attacking shrimp!
