Understanding the need for ongoing conservation Texas' coastal fisheries, Tomek cofounded the very first Texas State University Coastal Conservation Association Chapter.

Serving as a board member for the chapter, Kyle Tomek teamed up with offshore fishing fanatic Matt Richter and launched "Texas State Outdoors", the university's first outdoor radio show.

Currently, Kyle Tomek is obtaining a bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University.
