About Kyle Tomek
Kyle Tomek is a licensed U.S.C.G. captain, coastal fishing guide, and freelance outdoor writer.
Tomek has a passion for the outdoors and has contributed articles to a variety of outdoor publications, including Texas Fish & Game, Gulf Coast Fisherman, Lone Star Outdoor News, and Texas Saltwater Fishing.
During 2006, Kyle Tomek was featured on an episode of ESPN II's Bass Tech. 
Understanding the need for ongoing conservation of Texas' coastal fisheries, Tomek cofounded Texas State University's first Coastal Conservation Association Chapter, in spring of 2006.
In 2007, Tomek teamed up with offshore fishing fanatic Matt Richter and launched "Texas State Outdoors", a fishing, hunting, and outdoor sports radio show. he successfully obtained a USCG captain's license, became a fully licensed Texas fishing guide, and kick-started a fishing guide business.
In 2008, he received the Dan Klepper scholarship from Texas Outdoor Writer's Assocation and transferred to Texas A&M University.
Currently, Kyle Tomek continues to guide fishing charters in waters ranging from Matagorda to Port Masfield, while working towards a bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
